North Korea Regrets Nuclear Test

North Korean leader Kim Jong Il expressed regret about his country's nuclear test in diplomatic talks with a Chinese delegation.

 
North Korean leader Kim Jong Il expressed regret about the nuclear test performed by North Korea on October 9th.

During diplomatic talks with delegation led by Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan Kim Jong Il said Pyongyang would return to international nuclear talks if Washington cancels the campaign to financially isolate the country, a South Korean media reports.

"If the U.S. makes a concession to some degree, we will also make a concession to some degree, whether it be bilateral talks or six-party talks," Kim was quoted as telling a Chinese diplomat, Chosun Ilbo reported newspaper, quoting a diplomatic source in Chinese delegation.

Kim told the Chinese delegation that "he is sorry about the nuclear test," the newspaper reported.
