Stolen vehicle contains hazardous material
Anyone coming into contact with this hazardous material should call 9-1-1 immediately.
The Toronto Police Service is requesting the assistance of the public locating a stolen vehicle which contains hazardous materials.
On Tuesday, January 20, 2008, between 10:30 a.m.. and 12:30 p.m., a beige, 1994, four-door Nissan Altima, with Ontario licence plate BCKM 921, was reported stolen from the Blackfriar Avenue/Bridesburg Drive area.
In the trunk of this vehicle is a 'Soil Gauge" tool, which is used to test density and moisture in concrete. The material sealed inside this tool is hazardous and should not be handled or approached.
The tool is described as a 2'x2'x3' plastic box with a steel bottom. The box is blue and grey, and has two side handles.
