Toronto: Father Charged with Girl's DeathA man has been charged with first-degree murder after his daughter's body was discovered last night.A Toronto man is charged with murder of his 8-year-old daughter. On Thursday, October 18, 2007, at 10:10 p.m., the 36-year old Toronto man went to 33 Division and told police he had killed someone. Officers attended a home on Thimble Berry Way, near Don Mills Rd. and Steeles Ave. E, and located the lifeless body of an eight-year-old girl. The three-storey townhouse remains cordoned off this morning as the investigation continues. There was no immediate word on the cause of girl's death. The man has been charged with First Degree Murder. A couple and their two daughters have lived in the home for more than 12 years, according to neighbours who described them as “really nice people, friendly, church-going neighbours.” Police did not immediately release the name of the victim or her father, who is expected to appear in court this morning.
