Toronto Pastor Faces Sexual Assault, Exploitation Charges

Toronto pastor Charles Gayle, 48, faces eight charges for Sexual Assault, Sexual Exploitaion that allegedly occurred in the first half of 2006.

 
Toronto pastor Charles Gayle, who was charged with four counts of Sexual Assault and four counts of Sexual Exploitation on October 20, 2006 and released on bail, was arrested again, as a 15-year-old girl has come forward.

It is alleged that at the time of the offences, Charles Gayle, 48, of Toronto, was an Apostolic Pastor at a Faith House Apostolic Church, in the Lawrence Avenue West/Caledonia Road area.

As a pastor and counsellor, Gayle sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl, and one of the assaults took place at the church.

It is alleged that, at the time of the offences, Gayle was acting in his capacity as a pastor and counsellor.

Charles Gayle is also a registered nurse who works as a visiting community mental health worker.

Police believe there may be other victims.
