Toronto Raptors Get Back Into NBA Playoffs

Toronto Raptors, Houston Rockets and the Washington Wizards all getting back into their National Basketball Association playoff series with Game 3 wins.

Toronto Raptors cruised to home victories, along with Houston Rockets who won by two points on the road, and the Washington Wizards, all getting back into their National Basketball Association playoff series with Game 3 wins.

The Rockets edged the Utah Jazz 94-92 yesterday, the Wizards routed the Cleveland Cavaliers 108-72 and the Raptors defeated the Orlando Magic 108-94.

At EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City, Tracy McGrady scored 7 of his 27 points in the 4th quarter to lead the Rockets over the team that had the best home record in the NBA during the regular season.

Rafer Alston added 20 points and Luis Scola added 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Rockets, who closed the game on an 11-6 run.

McGrady tied the game at 86 with a foul shot with 3:29 left, then put his team ahead with another shot from the free- throw line with 2:50 remaining. He added two jump shots and Carl Landry hit a free throw to make it 93-86.

The Jazz pulled within one with 37 seconds left after 3- pointers from Kyle Korver and Mehmet Okur. The Jazz had a chance to win it after McGrady missed on the Rockets' next possession, only for Landry to block a Deron Williams shot and Scola grabbed the rebound to put the game away.

Williams finished with 28 points and 12 assists for the Jazz, while Carlos Boozer had 15 points and 13 rebounds and Okur added 12 points and 11 boards.

All three still trail in the best-of-seven series two-game-to-one. Game 4 is tomorrow in Utah.
