David Beckham suffers from knee injury that occured during Real Madrid's 1-1 draw with Getafe.

David Beckham, 31, was in noticeable discomfort before he was substituted in the second half. His teammate Jose Antonio Reyes was carried off on a stretcher after suffering the same injury to his left knee.

An initial diagnosis has shown the internal lateral ligament in his right knee. If the diagnosis is confirmed, the former England skipper is facing around a month on the sidelines.

"Neither of them will play in Germany," Madrid manager Fabio Capello said after the match. "One of the injuries is serious and the other could be something important. We will have to see."

Beckham's current contract with Real Madrid ends June 30, and Los Angeles Galaxy had expected he would join the team in August 2007.
