The upcoming Guitar Hero World Tour has everything the budding rock star needs, and even more.

In an attempt to compete with Rock Band game, Activision included the ability to play in a band, with guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. Some unique functions may prove to be deal makers. The feature that may sway Rock Band fans is the music creation mode, where you can create your own songs with each instrument.

The popular game will incorporate a drum set that will be wireless, speed sensitive, and will have five elements to bang on.

Also, the game sports high amounts of customization, from each accessory your character wears, to what designs your guitar pick guard has.

The release date for the Guitar Hero IV is October 2008, and it will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, and Wii.

Prices are stated as $189.99 for the "Band Kit" which includes a guitar, drum set and microphone, $99.99 for the "Guitar Kit" which includes the game and guitar, and $59.99 for the game itself, which will presumably be compatible with Guitar Hero III and Rock Band guitars.
