Microsoft is extremely excited this month. The company's much anticipated blockbuster game, “Halo 3”, topped the September game charts & sales of its Xbox 360 console came out on top for the first time among the latest generation of hardware consoles.

Nintendo's Wii has held the number 1 position in the latest generation console market, with PS3 and the Xbox 360 tied for second. Nintendo Wii sells for a cool $249.99 and offers a new way of playing video games.

However, the industry analysts have said that the most recent results indicate that the Xbox 360 console could move ahead of its rivals in the next few months. Halo 3 and Christmas are some of the contributing factors.
