The new Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull whipped up phenomenal ticket sales this weekend. After debuting on Thurdsday, the movie has collected $126 million thus, making it easily the #1 movie of the week.

However, the new Indiana Jones saga has yet to set any records, according to estimates published by Box Office Mojo.

Record keepers will count the Monday holiday receipts in the movie's opening weekend and the studio is guessing another $25 million today, which would make it a horse race against the standing record weekend of $151.1 million, held by Spider-Man 3.
