Corinne Bailey Rae Devastated Over Husband's DeathHusband of Grammy-nominated British singer Corinne Bailey Rae found dead, police suspects drug overdose.Corinne Bailey Rae is said to be devastated after her husband was found dead from a suspected drugs overdose. The husband of British soul singer, saxophone player Jason Rae, was found dead Saturday. Jason Rae was found dead on Saturday in the northern English city of Leeds, and a post-mortem examination on his body proved inconclusive. "At 3:15 p.m. yesterday [Saturday], the body of a 31-year-old man was found at a flat in the Hyde Park area," West Yorkshire police said. "A 32-year-old man was arrested for supplying controlled substances and has since been released on police bail." Jason Rae, 31, was a saxophonist with funk group the Haggis Horns, which has played as a backing band for Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson and Bailey Rae herself. Meanwhile, a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs before later being released on bail pending further inquiries. Bailey Rae, whose self-titled debut album sold more than 1 million copies in the U.S. after its release in 2006, has yet to comment but her record label EMI released a statement. "EMI Records would like to offer its sincere condolences to Corinne Bailey Rae and the Rae family at this tragic time," it said. "We ask that the media respects Corinne's privacy and that of her entire family." The pair were married in 2001, having met while Bailey Rae was working as a cloakroom attendant at a Leeds jazz club. "When I got married, I felt like I was older in my head. I knew Jason was the right one for a mixture of reasons. I really liked him, and I think that's a good place to start from," PA quoted Bailey Rae as saying. "And I really liked hanging around with him. With Jason it was like I couldn't see enough of him." Bailey Rae, who was nominated for song of the year at the Grammy Awards in both 2007 and 2008, was not at the flat when her husband was found and has always insisted that she has never taken drugs.
